what would you think if a muay thai fighter came into your boxing gym?
I train muay thai, but i want to go into boxing to improve my striking(hands) and hand speed. would u be pissed that i came into your gym and started kicking the bags and kneeing and stuff? id be up for a high intensity sparring session and fighting anyone in the gym, but i just want to imrpve my striking, not get into a fight with a hot head.
Yes the gym owner would not want you destroying gym equipment and heavy bags by kicking them or working them with your shins. A boxing gym is a boxing gym and a Muay Thai gym is a Muay Thai gym. There are plenty of Muay Thai gyms in the world see if they have one in your state but chances are you can’t walk into a boxing gym and start potentially damaging thousands of dollars worth of stuff to work on another sport. BTW it is the coaches and owner that would care more than anyone else not so much the gym goers because it is not their stuff. If you know how to strike already consider buying a heavy bag yourself and hang it in your house. But I would recommend finding a Thai gym.
